To extract the oil, the carrot seeds are put through a steam distillation process. The carrot plant has branchy stems that grow up to 3 feet in height and sprout hairy leaves and lacy flowers. In addition to its ability to fight everything from cellulite to acne, carrot essential oil is often used to help urine, colic, kidney and digestive issues. Its woody and sweet aroma has a wonderfully layered spicy earthiness. The top note is sweet, with a base aroma of spicy earthiness that cannot be mistaken.
