After reading some reviews on this and other similar products, I went with this brand and I am very please with it.
It puts out the right amount of mist and is pretty intuitive on how to operate. Be sure to not over fill and only fill to the max line. If you overfill, it will have a hard time misting. It basically uses vibrations to create the most so if you add too much water, it will not mist properly.
The buttons are common sense where you hit the power button once and it is continuously misting, hit it again and it cycles 30 seconds on and off. The lighting button when pressed has a continuous slow cycle through the colors. If you want to keep the color it is on, just tap it again and it will hold that color. If you want the light off, just tap it again.
Pretty simple and it's a nice touch that they add a bottle of oil with your purchase and then send you another when you register your product.
I feel this is the right amount of mist as anything too terribly strong can affect your electronics in the car and fog up your windows. This is way better than your typical car air fresheners.
I would use purified water and a quality oil to keep this operating for a long life of usage
